Premiere of the film ‘In Search of a Landscape’ on Sunday 8th September at Hofgestüt Bleesern (Bleesern Stud Farm).

The documentary film made by Grupppo studio will provide insights into Chrystel Lebas’ working methods. The artist Chrystel Lebas, who has been living and working at Hofgestüt Bleesern as an Artist-in-Residence between mid August and mid September 2024 as part of the KOBRA project, will be present. The first screening starts at 1 pm. Afterwards there will be a talk with the director Carlos Vin Lopes, Chrystel Lebas, sound designer Aude Langloisand Christiane Hennen (Förderverein Hofgestüt Bleesern), moderated by Jan Stradtmann (Passage Residency Programme).

Carlos Vin Lopes, Valerio Nicoletti and Lucia Sgrafetto are the founders of Grupppo, an independent creative studio specialising in visual communication and the production of audiovisual works. They often collaborate with projects that have a significant cultural or social impact, including long-term activities in the Dübener Heide region. The film work with Chrystel Lebas in Bleesern was supported by sound designer Aude Langlois. The Grupppo collective gladly accepted the invitation to document Chrystel Lebas‘ residency and contributed its expertise to the KOBRA project. The result is a 20-minute documentary film that conveys the artist’s experiences, her work on site and a contemplative view of the landscape in and around Hofgestüt Bleesern.

The film premiere will take place on Open Monument Day. After the premiere at 1 pm, the film can be then seen every half hour until 5 pm. More activities at Hofgestüt Bleesern on this day:
